Calgary is awesome. Our skyline is beautiful, our people are friendly and we live just a short drive from the wonders and wildlife of the Rocky Mountains. There is so much to love about our city … but, if we had to pick something we could do without, it might be how often we get to experience all four seasons in the same day.
This spring has been no exception. It’s gone from 23 degrees – shorts, sandals and BBQ weather, down to -3 degrees – fluffy white snow, shovel your driveway (again) weather, more than once in the span of 24 hours.
In honour – or in spite – of Calgary’s fickle weather patterns, we’ve created a Different Strains for Different Days reference guide with some of our favourite products, in case the weather has you feeling some type of way.
Fake spring fooled you again
This is for those days where you wake up to snow (again), just when you thought winter was gone for good this time. We’re talking potentially every May Long Weekend Calgary has ever had.
Ice Cream Cake
Who doesn’t like a sweet treat on a snow day? Ice Cream Cake is an indica-dominant strain made from Wedding Cake x Gelato #33, great for kicking back and staying in.

Beautiful, bright and sunshiny!
These are the days we live for. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and all the neighborhood dads are out competing for the title of grill master. On days like this, you just want to enjoy being alive.
Super Lemon Haze
Citrus is a go-to on any summer day. Super Lemon Haze is a sativa-dominant strain made from Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze. It has a zesty, refreshing flavor that will leave you floating alongside the clouds.
Citrus Water by Summit
On days like this, the liquor might be pouring while you’re out with your friends. If that’s not what you’re into, but you’d still like to have a refreshing drink in your hand, we recommend any one of our cannabis beverages!

Uh, is this Vancouver?
It’s grey, gloomy and cold. There’s not enough rain to call it a storm, but just enough of a drizzle to make sure you’re damp all day long. These are the days where you buckle down with a blanket and some snacks, and wait for the sun to come back to Calgary.
Ghost Train Haze
It may be dark and damp, but there’s no need to drain away with the rain. Ghost Train Haze is a sativa-dominant strain made from Ghost OG and Neville’s Wreck. It’s a heavy-hitter that kicks the rainy-day-blues and might even deliver some creative inspiration.
