Bill 80, the Red Tape Reduction Implementation Act – Cannabis Delivery

Recently, the Alberta Government announced an exciting change through Bill 80,  the Red Tape Reduction Implementation Act, which would allow our store, Douglasdale Cannabis to offer online ordering and delivery to you, of all of your favourite Cannabis Products! 

Online Cannabis Sales in Canada

Currently, Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) is the only entity allowed to offer online cannabis sales and delivery in Alberta. Once the Bill 80 is in effect, AGLC will longer offer online sales, instead retailers such as Douglasdale Cannabis will be able to do so. This is long overdue, as Alberta is trails in allowing online sales and delivery by cannabis retailers to many other provinces (Ontario, BC, Saskatchewan, the Yukon and Northwest Territories).

Timeline to Allow Online Cannabis Delivery in Calgary

As of now Bill 80, the Red Tape Reduction Implementation Act has passed its first reading. There are a couple more steps before it comes into force, but once it passes we are hopeful that within a couple months, we will be selling cannabis online and delivering it to your doorstep!
